if you want a bit of wild beach in your back garden then this is what it could look like. Ollerton courtyard garden was made in collaboration with architect & client Chantal Michelin and acclaimed garden designer Miria Harris. In this instance I provided the planting design, inspired by the flora of the local shingle beaches of Kingsdown. Hardy and tolerant of extreme weather, these pretty coastal plants are resilient and happiest in a tough spot. You can see from how they exploded into life within the first year, filling a completely empty space with verdant blooms and a wildlife supporting ecosystem.
